I am currently a first-year PhD student in the Department of Ocean Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Interested in both Earth Science and Computational Science. I focus on applying computational methods, for example numerical modelling and machine learning, to study Earth Science related problems. My current research interest involves ocean / coastal numerical modelling in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area, as well as using adjoint method for ocean-related optimisation and inversion problems, e.g. sea state inversion, parameters optimization and shape optimisation of engineering structures.
