Initially trained in biochemistry, Dr Leung later shifted her focus to mathematics and statistics in biological processes. Her current research interests include mathematical modelling of various diseases, epidemiological and economic evaluations of disease intervention strategies, and the use of data science and machine learning in interpreting genomic data and addressing misinformation about COVID-19 vaccination.
